Brief Biographical Sketch:

Born in San Francisco and raised, for the most part, in Muncie, Indiana, I'M BACK in the Bay Area to try living a life of love and learning on my lonesome!

My parents Steve and Ditas are immigrants (Haiti and the Philippines, respectively) and this has shaped not only my view of the world, but my experience of it and my hopes for its future. I have three younger sisters, one of whom is currently a freshman at the University of Chicago, the second of whom is a high school sophomore, and the third is a baby in the second grade.

Thanks to my dad's influence and to growing up in the American Midwest, I am a fan of sports, and especially tennis and volleyball. What can I say? I got caught up in the net. Thanks to my always-vocal mom, I love to sing, and participate in CatholicGroove, the choir for the 10 pm mass on campus.

I plan to focus in international public health within the Human Biology major, and I will minor in Modern Languages. I speak French and a fair amount of Spanish. I have beginning-level understanding in Bisaya and Haitian Creole.

I am excited to teach a class with ESP, and I hope the students gain something valuable from our time together!
