MING YI, First year physics graduate student at Stanford

Major: Physics

College/Employer: Stanford

Year of Graduation: G

Email Address: ymormy@stanfordesp.org
Picture of Ming Yi

Brief Biographical Sketch:

I'm a first year graduate student here at the physics department at Stanford. I did my undergrad at MIT. I TA-ed physics 45 last fall quarter, which was the undergraduate physics class on waves and heat here at Stanford. I am TAing for the undergraduate physics class on electricity and magnetism this quarter.

I am doing research in experimental condensed matter physics, probing the complexity of solids, including cool systems like high-temperature superconductors.

I love the beautiful CA outdoors, and secretly wish for a day when I can just sit next to the ocean and marvel at it from sunrise to sunset.
