A fun presentation in PPT on chocolate - its biology, chemistry , biochemistry, health benefits, trivia and some unusual connections.
You will never look at a chocolate bar in the same way again. Samples of chocolate are provided for comparison. Stay to the "bitter" end for a planned free drawing for "bittersweet" chocolate and other chocolate-related items.
Creative Invention and Innovation - using Patented Toys in Splash! Spring 2012
The fun lecture will include the requirements and web resources available to research & to file a U.S. patent.application. Familiar toys and games which are/have been patented will be used as examples. A free drawing is planned at the end of the lecture for a patented toy , e.g FRISBEE, SLINKY, YO-YO with a copy of the US patent.

Invention & innovation using Toys which are Patented in Splash! Fall 2011
Processes of invention and innovation are discused and emphasized using toys which were/are patented... including the FRISBEE, YO-YO. SLINKY , etc. You don't need to be a rocket scientist to be an inventor. Find a problem ...and solve it..
The class will end with a free drawing for the above toys with a copy of their US patent.

A fun talk about the amazing world of invention and innovation using patented toys and familiar everyday objects.
Toys include the SLINKY, FRISBEE, YO-YO, Monopoly, Lincoln Logs, etc. Familiar objects include McDonald's French Fry Sleeve & Big Mac Clamshell container, sleeve for STARBUCK's coffee cup, etc.
You don't need to be a rocket scientist to be an inventor.
( A 15 inch tall active model of the robot R2D2 from STAR WARS may make a short appearance.)
A free drawing will be held at the conclusion for attendees for some patented toys-with a copy of the US patent.
