Students will gain exposure to the basic alphabets in the Yoruba Language, while learning the cultural beauty of the Yoruba culture. Then we would move on to learning the different tones in the language and the importance of using the right tones in order for the words to have the intended meaning. We will conclude the session by learning relevant phrases that are used from day to day conversation.
A gentle introduction to Nanotechnology and its applications in Splash! Fall 2011
In this seminar we will introduce the fundamental concepts in nanotechnology through hands-on experiments and demonstrations. Topics discussed include nano-fabrication, applications in consumer products, risks and concerns and the future outlook for nanotechnology.
Be prepared to participate in some really fun small group based activities.
