Brief Biographical Sketch:

David Steinberg is the second-youngest New York Times crossword constructor to be published under Will Shortz's editorship. Since his debut at age 14, 46 more of his crosswords have appeared in The Times, and nearly three times as many have been published in other print and online publications, including The Los Angeles Times, the Wall Street Journal, and the Chronicle of Higher Education. David also edits a weekly crossword for the Orange County Register's associated newspapers and leads the Pre-Shortzian Puzzle Project. He is excited to announce his first crossword book, "Juicy Crosswords from the Orange County Register," which will be published by Sterling in May.

H4774: Become a Crossword Puzzle Whiz in Splash Spring 2016 (Apr. 09 - 10, 2016)
This course consists of two activities. In the first, you will work with your classmates to solve a New York Times crossword puzzle from square one! After a short break, you will learn how to make a New York Times-quality crossword through a series of interactive exercises, which range from picking which entries go into a class-constructed grid to determining possible clues for them. After taking this class, you will be able to amaze your friends with some mad crossword skills!
