Brief Biographical Sketch:

I am fascinated by the natural living world. I finished my PhD in India, which is a most magically "wild" place!
During my PhD I worked on some really cute rodents in the mountains of south India. At Stanford, I am working on another furry little rodent, the muskrat, that lives in freshwater lakes, rivers, streams and creeks. In particular, I examine the genetics of the muskrats and see how water dynamics affects their genetics.
