Brief Biographical Sketch:

I am a first year graduate student in a microbial ecology lab studying nitrogen cycling and microbial communities. I grew up in small-town Oregon and went to Amherst College in western Massachusetts. I spent a few years working in different labs in Sanibel, FL; Santa Barbara, and Boston before landing at Stanford for graduate school. I love microbes and thinking about how they influence every ecosystem from the open ocean to our guts.
