Brief Biographical Sketch:

I've hiked in the Himalayas, played ultimate frisbee during a monsoon in India, and sung classic rock songs with Syrian refugees on a Greek island - and that was just in 2016. My undergrad degree in politics and economics led me to two years of volunteer service in Peru, which led me to work in Washington, D.C. and Texas, which inspired a move to Oregon, which ultimately led to my coming to Stanford for a graduate degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering. My road-less-traveled has never been straight, but it has been fun - and it's taken me around the world!
