Brief Biographical Sketch:

I was born in New York City, raised in upstate New York, and went to Amherst College for undergrad. I spent a year working at the National Institutes of Health studying tissue regeneration in the National Human Genome Research Institute before graduate school. I am currently a first year PhD student in the Biology department at Stanford and am rotating in the Gozani Lab studying the epigenetics of cellular differentiation. Outside of my research, I enjoy playing tennis, basketball, and most other sports as well as upright and electric bass.
