Brief Biographical Sketch:

I was born and raised in San Mateo, CA, in a suburb quite apart from the popular conception of wilderness. Despite this, and with the help of some very enthusiastic science teachers, I quickly developed a love of nature and all things wild and wonderful. I love to share what I have learned, in hope that a better appreciation for the fantastic biodiversity of planet earth will help us to protect it.
