P4391: Slime & The Scientific Method in Splash Spring 2015 (Apr. 11 - 12, 2015)
The class will begin with an introduction to the scientific method and a discussion on the importance of critical thinking in the lab. Students will then be broken up into groups to make slime using different recipes! We will come together at the end to discuss our results and draw some fun chemistry conclusions.


B3976: Crime Scene Chemistry in Splash Fall 2014 (Nov. 08 - 09, 2014)
There is a killer among you! Enter the classroom as a forensic scientist investigating the (fake) murder of a Stanford student! Learn about the basic chemical principles involved in Crime Scene Investigation, such as the detection of blood with luminol. By the time you leave, you will have gained a better understanding of chemical reactions and have caught your first murderer in the process.
