Brief Biographical Sketch:

That's BioMedical Informatics - I started my life as a biology major (premed), but before too long realized that computer science was a lot of fun and that biology was the most interesting application domain... and so I wound up studying a subject that synthesizes them
Python was the first language I ever learned, from Mark Pilgrim's wonderful Dive Into Python (available free online!), and is still very special to me. I hope I can communicate just a little of what excites me about CS and programming, and then there are really a world of possibilities. The future belongs to the computer scientists!
