Brief Biographical Sketch:

A highly accomplished scholar and arguer, Ryan has received such coveted honors as the "Most Likely to Embarrass His Kids" dorm superlative and the 2014 Eastlake High School "Wittiest" award. He has also printed several certificates he found online, which now hang proudly on his dorm room wall. When not being showered with well-deserved praise, Ryan studies artificial intelligence and formal logic.

How do I convince people that something is true? Why do I believe something is true? In this class, we'll learn about how mathematical logic can help answer these questions. We'll introduce logic as a concept before exploring how it can be used to build strong arguments -- and why it's sometimes useless.
