Brief Biographical Sketch:

Wendy is a first-year student at Stanford University looking to study Physics or Computer Science. She graduated from Orthopaedic Hospital MMHS as a Questbridge College Match Recipient and a South Central Scholar. Having been raised in South Central Los Angeles, pervasive social injustices propelled her to use her education as an intermediary force to face them. Wendy became President of the National Honor Society and interned as a Pre-Calculus tutor in a Credit Recovery Program at her high school. She also co-founded Humans of Ortho and volunteered at the California Hospital Medical Center for four consecutive years. Aside from a life dominated by academics, she enjoys exploring the natural world along with its cosmic components through reading, writing poetry, photography, and road-tripping.
