Brief Biographical Sketch:

My name is Stevan Jeknic. I'm a second year PhD student in the Bioengineering department at Stanford University. I work in Markus Covert's lab studying cell signaling and innate immunity.

I got my Honors B.S. from Oregon State University in Chemical Engineering. There I worked in many labs, but in particular, I spent five years doing genetic engineering in Dr. Tony Chen's lab. I've been involved in every step of making a GMO, from the planning to the planting, and have worked with several species of plant, including tomatoes, potatoes, and irises.
