L7260: Learning Like a Pro in Splash Spring 2019 (May. 04 - 05, 2019)
Why are you coming to Splash? To learn something? Because your parents want you to? (Probably the second, huh). Regardless of how you ended up here, we hope you have the intention of learning SOMETHING from this weekend. We spend so much time LEARNING in our lives--through classes, tutoring, and even on your own--but have we ever wondered if we're actually learning EFFECTIVELY? How much quicker could we learn if we knew the theory and practice of how our brain acquires new skills? In this class, you'll learn the theory, science, and PRACTICAL tips for how to HACK your brain into becoming a master learner. Please note that this is a highly experiential class, so come well-rested and be ready to get hands on with the activities; we'll apply the science of learning to actually acquire a brand new skill together. We expect full engagement. Bonus: if you have any skill that you've been meaning to learn (examples could include: juggling, lock-picking, handstand, etc.), feel free to bring the relevant supplies to class and you'll walk away well on the path to mastering your skill. See you soon, Julian and Will
