Brief Biographical Sketch:

Hey! My name is Avery, and I'm initially from Houston, TX. I went to college at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia and studied cognitive neuroscience and the history of science and technology. Here at Stanford, I'm getting a PhD in neuroscience. My specific interests are in what we call systems neuroscience, which really just focuses on entire systems and networks in the brain.

When I'm not studying brains, I'm hiking, boxing, reading, or catching up on my favorite shows. I'm a general nerd and I think I'm pretty approachable, so don't hesitate to ask me any question that you dream up.
