Brief Biographical Sketch:
In 2014, I obtained my Ph.D. at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus in Human Medical Genetics. However, my thesis research was not on humans - instead I became passionate about understanding the secrets of hibernation. Now a postdoctoral scholar in the Department of Genetics at Stanford, I have brought my passion about hibernation with me. My current research is focused on building a genetics framework for the study hibernation. This currently includes improving the genome assembly for our model hibernator, the 13-lined ground squirrel. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my husband, one-year-old son and two cats. And I love mountains! I used to ski race and still love to ski. Past Classes(Clicking a class title will bring you to the course's section of the corresponding course catalog)None found. |
